Keeping Up with Trendy Women Clothes

Being able to wear trendy women clothes and be able to keep up to today’s fashion craze is probably what every woman in the US aspires. However, the flip side here is in the desire of always being up-to-date, many women today become slaves to the latest fashion trends. People shouldn’t follow them like a shadow since there are times that the latest fashion trend may not be the most flattering style for your body type or even color.

If a woman is not comfortable with the item of clothing she is wearing then there is no way that it is going to look good despite what fashion magazines are telling you. Another pitfall to this is it is very expensive to follow fashion trends like a lost love-sick puppy.

First of all, you should know your body type so you wouldn’t commit any fashion mistakes in the future by wearing ill-fitting clothes. Are you an apple or a pear? Maybe you think the hourglass is the best object to describe your figure. It doesn’t really matter what your body type is since you will definitely get on a trend that would flatter your body figure and would really look good on you. The key here is to choose articles of clothing that would go with your own personal shape instead of just going for what is stylish or what could be seen on the racks.

If you don’t look any good in flair pants then why not try narrower boot-cut jeans or even straight-cut jeans instead? Some people find wearing tank tops and camisoles uncomfortable. What they can do is to find a similar style with higher necks or wear a camisole underneath for better coverage. When a person feels good about what he or she is wearing then whatever the clothes they are in will definitely look good.

If you are planning to follow the latest trendy women clothes then you may want to make sure that the separates you’re buying will have a corresponding match already in your closet. That is why it is generally wise to buy outfits together, so you can make sure that you will always have coordinated clothing in whatever fashion trend you’re in.

A lot of women love to dress, especially when following the latest fashion trends in whatever occasion it is or even every day. No matter how much shopping you do or how much you keep up with the latest trend, you can choose clothes that fit you well and flatter you the best.

Keeping Up with the Latest Trendy Women Clothes without Breaking the Bank

If only it were easy to sail through the ever changing style of fashion each season. However, the most fashion conscious chick may find it hard if she doesn’t know how and where to begin. Moreover, purchasing a new set of wardrobe twice a year can be really hard on the pockets. We must admit that most of us don’t have that sort of luxury, so how does one make a solution to this sort of trendsetting dilemma?

We know very well that we don’t have to go overboard with shopping and we should stick to our budget. There is, of course, a solution to this. As long as a person shops smartly for trendy women clothes then she can shop for more. All one needs is a bit of retail savvy skills and patience then everything will be fine. It is possible to have new trendy clothes in your closet every season at very low prices compared to what you think you have to spend.

The thing to keep in mind is to never buy trendy women clothes as soon as they hit the racks in department stores. Retailers will bank on the fact that there are women out there who will pay for the full price of the latest designs in clothing. You don’t have to do that just yet. Be patient and you will soon see that the price of the tunic you saw just a few weeks ago will go down dramatically with a 30%-50% off discount. Wait even a bit longer and you may find a coupon in the circular in the Sunday paper for an additional percentage off. If you wait even longer, then that adorable tunic will go to a clearance sale and will be offered at lower rates you can afford!

When the latest style appears, high-end boutiques will offer clothes at outrageously high prices, but the department stores will offer the same style, although with lower prices. On the other hand, discount houses will provide comparable items for the best price of all, so you should always be on the lookout for these things.

When it comes to the latest trendy styles, don’t spend your money on items that will only work for two seasons. Spend more on the classic clothes such as a wool blazer or black riding boots that will be able to get you through multiple seasons in style and quality.

Go ahead and shop online since most of the time they offer better discounts and amazing selections.

Hip Hop Fashion Stores Online

We all know that hip hop has been around for a couple of decades and it’s definitely not a newcomer in the scene. The style has actually been around since the 1980s, when celebrities like Will Smith and Christopher “Kid” Reid showed the young generation then how it should be done. The style has then evolved over the past decades, and tastes and styles have changed to correspond with the culture of the time. Why don’t we go through the history of hip hop briefly before we head forward to the present time?

Back in the 1980s, major brand names became synonymous with hip hop. Fashion labels such as Nike, Adidas and Clark stores were sporting leather bomber jackets and brightly colored pantsuits. Sports jerseys were a hot commodity with Will Smith showing them off in his hit television show “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” This was the time when jewelries were designed to be heavy, and large sunglasses came into the scene, creating an image of wealth and luxury in the hip hop culture of those times. In the latter part of this decade, MC hammer and the other rappers were introduced to be the hip hop fashion trend setters by wearing baggy pants and baseball caps.

When it hit the 90s, the “gangsta” look was introduced and the previous hip hop fashion shifted to the style which is the fashion statement of the Los Angeles Chicano gangsters. The style, as some of you might know, sports baggy pants that were worn low and without a belt, shirt tails hanging outside the pants and bandanas on the head. Brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Polo and Nautica all joined the bandwagon with this style. It was also a time where hip hop became THE urban street-wear, when brands like Mecca USA, Lugz and Rocawear all came into play.

After that, the style just seem to shift and shift until the time of the bling-blings when the 2000s came in and the blings, or otherwise known as exaggerated jewelry, were made popular by Jazz-Z and the Hot Boys. Gucci even had a hand in providing hip jewelry at this time in the scene as today.

Today, you can find hip hop wear everywhere, and you can even purchase them in fashion stores online. You can also follow the looks of Will Smith, Eminem and the other hip hop celebrities without so much as even leaving the comforts of your home or driving to the nearest mall!

Have Fun Shopping at Fashion Shops Online

If you are the type of person who likes dressing up and is very experimental with different fashion styles then you will find it very satisfying to browse at fashion shops online. It is very convenient and fun to shop at the available fashion shops online since you can peruse various stores to browse for the latest styles, trendy colors, accessories and fabrics by simply clicking away on the Internet. That pretty much means that you can purchase several pieces of clothes all with a few clicks of the mouse. There’s no walking involved, no driving to the mall and it can be done while sitting comfortable in your office or in sitting on your couch with your laptop.

If you like shopping but lack the time and effort to roam around the mall then you will find shopping online to be very convenient and easy.

You can find fashion shops online by searching or by browsing different sites. Nowadays, even department stores have their own online department, so you really have no need to leave the house just to shop. You will also be able to use your credit card or debit card online and purchase whatever you want. You don’t have to waste gas driving to the nearest mall, and your items will be delivered to your doorstep conveniently as well, so you just have to wait for it to arrive.

The best thing about shopping online is you will definitely find what you are looking for within minutes in different online stores available. This can be done with a few clicks of a button and you don’t have to worry about if you are on a budget since there are great offers available online that may not be available in department stores anywhere.

Instead of walking around a mall, you just have to find a comfortable place in your home so you can sit and browse through the computer for different items and clothes. No need to leave the house if ever you want to purchase that cute blouse that’s really ‘in’ lately.

Although, shopping online doesn’t really give the customers the luxury to try the clothes on. Make sure that the online stores you are purchasing clothes from have return policies. Also make sure that the size you bought is your size since there are instances that customers can’t find the clothes that they bought online to fit their body. You don’t have to lie about your size when purchasing online.

Fashion 2011 Trend: Yves Saint Laurent Launching Designer Cigarettes

“The woman who smokes Yves Saint Laurent cigarettes is more attractive than one who smokes another brand or doesn’t smoke at all,“ claims the fashion house.

Yves Saint Laurent is taking its conception of “Le Smoking” seriously—and perhaps a tad too literally. When the French fashion house isn’t employing African artisans to cobble purses together from recycled plastic bags and fair-trade cotton, it’s also lending its moniker to a line of cigarettes. So much for social responsibility. Marketed to women in Asia and Russia, the smokes come in minimalist black boxes with gold foil. You don’t have to pony up for prestige pricing, either: Online retailers hawk the cancer sticks, which have been around since 1989, for up to $44 per 200-cigarette pack.

We don’t have to tell you about the dangers of tobacco, the gaucheness of nicotine-stained teeth, or the idiocy of self-induced lung cancer and heart disease. You’re far too sophisticated not to know. For the less-informed, however, YSL offers a Faustian deal. Its cigarettes, according to the luxury label, creates a “sense of appeal to female vanity and thereby making the woman who chose to smoke Yves Saint Laurent cigarettes more attractive than one who smokes another brand, or more attractive than a woman who did not smoke at all.

YSL isn’t the only high-end brand to market so-called “fashion cigarettes.” Other companies known to have dabbled in the practice include Givenchy, Versace, Christian Lacroix, and Cartier. Ironically, in a 1968 interview, Saint Laurent himself admitted he didn’t smoke his eponymous cigarettes, claiming not to “like the flavor.”

Don’t expect to see this fashion trend hit the US anytime soon ladies. Our health administration would hit the roof with criticism and for sure raise all kinds of preverbal Kane over the concept of selling cigarettes to women under the guise of making them look more attractive. Let us know what you think about the overseas fashion 2011 trend. Is the act of smoking to look sexy outdated or does it still hold some weight? And do designer cigarettes sound even sexier? Let us know your thoughts on this one.

Fashion for 2011: Diane Von Furstenberg Home

If you’re going to live you might as well do it in style I’m sure all you fashionistas agree. The Diane Von Furstenberg Home Collection enable us fashionistas to have it all. Incorporating fashion into even the ordinary areas of our lives is what this collection is all about. It is highly recommended to incorporate luxury and style into your everyday living whenever possible. The DVF Home collection stays true to the popular designers flare for the sophisticated and decadent colors, prints and designs .

Diane Von Furstenberg home collection is lifestyle meets fashion all in one happy package. The shapes, colors, and print of this collection are absolutely gorgeous, and the prices are not ridiculously sky high. The mantra of her brand seems to be accessible luxury.

Everything happens in bed, according to Diane Von Furstenberg , explaining the latest spinoff from her wrap-dress empire, DVF Home. Von Furstenberg has gone on record about the home collection saying, “You are conceived in bed, you are born in bed, you die in bed. You should feel good in bed.” A decorating tip: Ms. Von Furstenberg, who lives in Connecticut, has a studio-like bedroom above her office in the West Village, and had a tent made to sleep in there. “There are so many windows,” she said. “It’s like a glass bubble. The tent makes it cozy.” Already at the top of the most coveted fashion designer list.

Her home collection encompasses so many objects and so many different patterns — inspired by prints that have appeared in the DVF fashion collection . It includes a department store’s worth of tabletop pieces, glassware, bakeware, stemware, flatware, decorative accessories — that is, frames and trays and such — and bedding.

The critics have voiced concern about the sustainability of the collection. For example if I consumers buy a dinnerware set, will they be available for a long time? Most well-established tableware brands will keep their designs in stock for years, so that if you break something you can get it replaced. If this is the case with DVF home then it should prove to be very successful.

Fashion for 2011: Gucci Eco Eyewear and Sunglasses

Known for its luxury products, international famous designer brand Gucci has teamed up with Safilo to launch a whole new line of eco-sustainable eye gear. Not only this, the duo is taking it to another level by announcing a new packaging especially designed for this eco-friendly line. The eyewear catalog too, will be made out of FSC-certified paper. As of now, Gucci and Safilo will launch the four new models in August 2011.

Gucci eyewear, made of improved acetate, outlives the traditional acetate-based optical frames having a much higher percentage of eco-friendly materials. The new acetate in fact is specially designed for Gucci in two colors giving consumers a choice between red/green backgrounds, quite in sync with Gucci’s iconic color combination.

The bio based Gucci sunglasses are made from a castor-seed material to step up the eco-quotient in its own right. These sunglasses though plastic-based outperformed the others by their natural origins helping cut down CO2 emissions in the production stage itself.

Some critics have questioned the manner in which Gucci has gone about introducing this product. Finding it somewhat hypocritical when brands that are generally not “eco” at all, decide to launch something “eco”, saying it feels like they are doing it for marketing reasons alone. (Even if it is for marketing reasons, it’s not a bad thing.) Hardcore environmentalists would prefer to see brands making permanent changes, rather than short lived eco collections.

Ideally, Gucci would announce the eco sunglasses line as a pilot collection, and then phase out all of their non-eco-friendly eyewear in the next few years, in favor of the new eco products. They’d also make some announcements about how they are cutting their use of resources, implementing more recycling, using less packaging, ensuring all production is ethical, etc.

If you’d like to see more brands putting in long term plans to overhaul their businesses and make them more sustainable, ethical, and eco-friendly, let us know at wikifashionista.com. This could be the start of something big, and why not have one of the largest luxury brands lead the way?

SWORD + FERN
Inspired by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, designer Emily Baker created Sword + Fern, paying homage to the evergreen ferns native to the area. Starting out small and focusing largely on natural botanicals, Emily started with natural body products before trying her hand at jewelry, pulling elements from the natural and manmade worlds, including vintage chains, rusty metals that once belonged to automobiles, recycled glass, and driftwood.

VIOLA LIVING JEWELRY
Taking cues from the natural system, Viola Living Jewels combines strong materials with whimsical details to create absolutely breathtaking designs. Designer Jessica Viola’s background in organic, permaculture-based  botanical design inspires the use of flora elements that pull from the designer’s extensive travels throughout Central and South America, including the Amazon. All jewelry is handmade using only sustainably harvested and ecologically responsible materials.

BAZSAROZSA
Sexiness and comfort are two things a woman craves when looking for the perfect lingerie. Bazsarózsa arose out of this very basic yet difficult-to-achieve idea that you can have them both. Enikö Bázsa makes her camis, bras, and panties in New York City from organic-cotton jersey. Her designs feature an ultra-feminine, delicate yet modern design.

CARRIE PARRY
Finding timeless pieces for your wardrobe can be an uphill battle but Carrie Parry was born out of the passion to create pieces that didn’t bow to shifting trends. Ethically produced in the heart of New York City's Garment District, Parry's designs are tailored to sophisticated perfection.

VIOLETA VILLACORTA
Nearly 20 years ago, Violeta Villacorta made her first garment. Today, "Rustic Elegance," as the Peruvian native describes her designs, is a world-renowned sensation. Villacorta uses natural and organic materials—including fine linen, raw silk, and straw—to create timeless pieces that draw from international influences, heavily influenced by Villacorta's observations while living in New York City.

CHEEKY GREEN
To combat wasteful disposal, Cheeky Green is creating durable, long-lasting shopping bags that not only hold your goods but also make you look good doing so. Made from recyclable Tyvek, the colorful shoulder bags weigh only three ounces, yet they're strong enough to hold up to 25 pounds—take that ants!

Fashion for 2011: YSL Resort

So all you fashionistas out there, Stefano Pilati, Head Designer for the House of Yves Saint Laurent, recently showcased the YSL Resort 2012 Collection and it was a wonderful nautical theme. According to Style.com the thriving designer pointed out that Yves Saint Laurent did a nautical collection of his own around 1982. Pilati, a fan of the late designer loved the “why not factor of” of the vintage YSL Nautical collection circa 1980s fashion . Sheer hose and pumps were out for 2012, though, and bared legs and high wooden wedges that had commercial hit written all over them, were in. Really loving the YSL red leather trench coat, the oversized collar screams luxury. The plunging v-neck bubble sleeve belted top with flirty pleated skirt is a classy casual combination. Again the bubble sleeve button down shirt with oversized sailor pants is also a home run (nice button down detailing at the hem). So far so good.
Another take on the red trench coat with a front v split front opening. Next we see a stripe oversized peasant top with flowing sleeves paired with a bell shaped skirt featuring a high waist and side pockets. Then further right we see a stripe summer dress belted and stunning cherry red wedges. The neck piece is also a nice accessory for the sleeveless Spring/Summer ensemble.
Strong vibrant colors, such as lipstick red, canary yellow, royal blue and deep black prints are also abundant in the nautical themed line as well as over-sized poppy flowers seen above and below. The collection is indeed, sellable, commercial and on-mark with the 40′s and 50′s influences many fashion designers are into. It is all very Très Chic and I am sure many a young Hollywood actress will be urging their stylists to get their hands on some of these designs.
These designs are so elegant and flirty. The dresses above would be best worn to a Spring summer wedding, granted you might upstage the bride, but all is far in fashion and war. And not to mention the cutout poppy romper with matching sky high wedges .

Fashion for 2011: Matthew Williamson Dazzles with Bridal Fashion Collection

This the season for a white wedding and if you’re searching for the latest wedding dress fashion trend of 2011 then everyone should be checking out the dazzling Matthew Williamson bridal fashion collection. There are 12 amazing and elegant fashion dresses that stand out in this special collection. There is something for the bride who wants something modern and short and for the bride who desires a traditional floor length gown.

The famous fashion designer has designed his pieces for his current girlfriend, who likes more attractive and trendy women clothes . One can expect to find the best raw materials and exquisite detailing. The dresses will range from $1400 to $3,300. The cost of these dresses don’t seem to be expensive compared to the cost of most wedding gowns during this season when bridal dresses are in high demand.

Below is a peek at the new collection and our thoughts on some of the gowns from the unique collection.
This dress is presently offered in a long and short version. It has a strapless neckline with a tulle strap tie across the shoulder and a skirt formed by thousands of feathers. Simply divine!!
If you want a more traditional design, the gown above is your ideal choice. Draped with a silver strap tie this gown adds a bit of modern without sacrificing the classic look of this wedding dress.
If the look you’re going for is simple, you’ll love this gown. This dress has small precious details and the garment fabric is a type of brocade that makes it even more luxurious and there is a subtle floral imprint overlapping the off-white draping the formal women wear design. If you are a fan of strapless necklines then this dress is worth taking a look at.
This Grecian style gown is perfect for a destination wedding. Details include a thin belt around the waist and a low cut v-neck strappy design. This dress just looks like it was designed to make a woman feel pretty.
Last but not least, this gown has frills for days. This style may work for brides who normally shop for plus sizes women clothes. This piece is designed for brides who are a bit bold and would dare to wear an exaggerated v-neck down to the navel, but conservative enough to wear long sleeves. By the way the belt with broach embellishment is an excellent touch and typical Matthew Williamson.

Fashion Trend of 2011: Feathers

We take a look at the feather trend from recent 2011 red carpets. Because with some trends sometime you just have to have fun and be adventurous. And what better place to do this than the red carpet, and who better to pull it off then the A-list celebrity fashionistas.
Florence Welch has got her wings in full bloom in this voluminous feathered jacket which she wore earlier this month. She looks like a little red-headed angel with the designer white floor length fashion for 2011 gown to match.
Liv Tyler looks every bit as elfish as her Lord of the Rings character in this white and yellow feathered Givenchy couture gown. Check out the detailing. It looks as if white doves are encased in the body of her dress. Givenchy is an amazing designer period.
Demi Moore went for a head-to-toe feathered Prabal Gurung ensemble topping her floorlength gown with a black feathered hat. Don’t know what you’re thinking about this one, but I am getting black swan vibes from this one. And does this woman ever age?
Tennis player Serena Williams takes the feather fashion 2011 trend one step into sugar plum fairy territory with this Oscar de la Renta white gown – easy to do with this whimsical trend. Instead of feeling like she is wearing couture, it looks like she’s a fairy god mother. Wow, her arms are amazing.
Fashionista Diane Kruger is never far behind a trend and shows she’s on top of this one in a black feathered mini with lace sleeves. She almost gets away with it, but the hemline and lace shoes kill it. This dress looks like a shredded ball of confetti. Lucky for her she is a former model, so her beauty is still undeniable.
“Pirates of the Carribean: On stranger tides” star Penelope Cruz walks the black carpet in black lace and feathered creation by Marchesa. Now this is how you do lace and feathers. Leave it to Marchesa to get the equation right for this fashion 2011 trend .
Uma Thurman set a high standard for Cannes fastival fashion when she hit the opening night’s red carpet in a white feathered Versace gown. It’s safe to let the picture speak for itself on this one. She’s just so beautiful to look at.

Fashion for 2011: Zara Woman Look book Spring Summer

The Spring Summer fashion for 2011 Zara look book features comfort and sophisticated style with a sleek edge. Expect to find a minimal fashion look with well defined shapes and cuts with accents of vibrant colors. If you’re interested in a clean almost preppy style, look no further.

Take a look below…

Liking the red bubble pleated skirt from the high rise waist to the exaggerated hem. This piece looks simple, but when designing simplicity details are everything. The goal is to achieve a clean and classy look without trying too hard. The red skirt and the exaggerated v-neck top with bell sleeves are perfect examples of simple pieces designed to perfection with a subtle flare. The chocolate blazer (right) is another staple item jazzed up with a sharp color and shiny satin lining underneath. Blazers with rolled up sleeves are in fashion and so this blazer takes the simple detail to another level. The solid blazer over the a playful stripped top gives this look a crisp and preppy personality.

This season is all about colors in full bloom. Above we get a snazzy tailored ankle pants with side pockets and a collarless top sporting hidden buttons and cuffed sleeves. In recent fashion trends designers have been moving away from the including the collar on fashion tops for a more futuristic look. To the right we see electric blue cuffed shorts paired with an easy black open front blazer with rolled up sleeves.

Next we see Zara’s modern take on the three quarter sleeve shirt. Once again we see an electric blue exaggerated stripe down the middle of the loose fitting cream colored top. To the right we see the recurring collarless top. This time oversized pullover top with raised pockets and hidden buttons halfway down the front of the shirt.

Zara has managed to make simple pieces interesting with exaggerated detailing. Fashionistas the world over can’t help but enjoy the cleverness of this line, recognize and appreciate the skills. Zara is simply interesting. Take a bow! What do you think about the look book? To find more preppy blazers on sale for $49.99 , go shopping online at Wikifashionista.com

Fashion News: Royal Wedding Fashion

Recently, hundreds of guests attended the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abby, London. Of those hundreds a handful really shinned in the fashion department. There were also some major flops, but why ruin such a beautiful moment in time with mention of hideous hats and unflattering frocks. Not this time. Instead here are some of the fashion wedding gowns we enjoyed seeing at the event.

First and foremost, a few comments on the brides dress. Kate was elegant and classic in her white Alexander McQueen gown. The lace detailing was reminiscent of what Princess Diana wore for her royal wedding. Keeping in true Kate fashion, she sported a plunging neckline that gave way to a bodice silhouette. Middleton’s gown is the stuff that fairytales are made of.

The trickiest part about dressing for a wedding is keeping your look polished, but not too glamorous as not to take attention from the bride on her big day. Charlene Wittstock, the fiancée of Prince Albert of Monaco, arrived looking elegantly understated in a figure-hugging grey coat by Akris and a wide-brimmed, white hat. The look is classic and chic.

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden didn’t disappoint. She wore a peach colored long-sleeved V-neck Elie Saab Spring 2011 dress and corresponding heels. The wrap cinching at the top and bottom of the dress concealed and contoured her figure perfectly. Her matching wide brim hat and elegant bun tied everything together nicely

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson’s electric blue look was another head turner. She looked very elegant in this modernistic form fitting Deborah Miner dress, accessorized with matching gloves and fancy free fascinator hat. The fashion world will be talking about this dress for the months to come after the wedding.

Leave it to the royals to give us style and fashion tips and trends, something to ooh and ahh over. We wish the best of luck and a happy future to William and Kate. Would you want something small and intimate or would you get married in royal fashion? If you were getting married tomorrow, who would you wear or what would you have chosen to wear to the royal wedding? Tell us all about it.
