For some of you who may be asking who Vera Wang is then she is none other than a Bridal Dress superstar. She worked for 16 years at Vogue as a Senior Fashion Director that was followed by a gig at Ralph Lauren as a design director. She discovered and was frustrated that she found no fashion in the bridal industry. The only thing she could find were dresses traditionally made that seriously needs some sophistication. Since she’s a smart woman with a rolodex full of high-powered fashion insiders, she designed and started her own bridal line.

Vera Wang opened a luxury salon in 1990, showcasing her new bridal collection. The majestic designs of her collection, the elegance, detail and freshness immediately was loved by the world at large.
In 1994, a simple white skating dress with illusion sleeves worn by Nancy Kerrigan had made her a household name.
Nancy Kerrigan is a life-long Athlete who has competed in international skating competitions and Vera Wang dress is not just for the brides but also for Olympic skaters such as Michelle Kwan.

Vera Wang grew up in a Chinese-American family in New York. She also attended the most prestigious prep-school Chapin, followed by Sarah Lawrence College and the Sorbonne. Her mother was her prime influence in fashion and she was taken by her mother to Paris in order to see fashion shows.

Today, a Vera Wang dress is word by a lot of celebrities and she is probably the best known wedding dress designer in the business. She has also expanded her brand in order to include fragrance, jewelry, eyewear, shoes and home collection with Wedgewood, all touched by her elegant and luxurious style.

Celebrities who have worn a Vera Wang dress includes Jennifer Lopez, an off-the-shoulder ruffled lace dress for her surprise marriage to Marc Anthony in the year 2004 but J-lo is not the only one who have worn a Vera Wang dress but Sharon Stone was clad in a pale-pink chiffon wedding dress on her day and Jessica Simpson has her meringue wedding dress.
